| Booking terms and conditions for La Bonnettie Gîte. Updated 12th March 2011

1. The "Property" known as Bonnettie Gite is offered for holiday rental subject to confirmation by Tim Abady and Jill Morgan ("the Owners") to the renter ("the Client"). Our Terms - How to Book. 2. To reserve the "Property" the Client should first contact us by email or telephone and check the availability of our gîte. If you contact us by email, please state: your contact details (full name, address, email address, fixed telephone number & mobile telephone number); the number of people in your party , your preferred arrival and departure dates and any special requests you might have. 3. If the accommodation is still available and you wish to go ahead with the booking, we shall ask you for a deposit of 30% of the total rent due, together with a completed and signed booking form. We will reserve the gîte for one week from our email/verbal rental agreement with you pending receipt of the deposit and completed booking form. The completed Booking form should be sent to: Tim Abady & Jill Morgan La Bonnettie Valprionde 46800, FRANCE 4. Following receipt of the booking form and deposit, the Owners will send a confirmation invoice and statement, usually by email. This is the formal acceptance of the booking. All bookings imply full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. (Download PDF version of this document) A ‘taxe de séjour’ (local tourist tax) is payable by the clients to the Montcuq Commune for those staying in the area from 15.6.07 – 15.9.07. This tax is included in our prices. Payment schedule: 5. The balance of the rent is payable not less than 8 weeks before the start of the rental period. If payment is not received by the due date, the Owners reserve the right to give notice in writing that the reservation is cancelled. Reservations made within 8 weeks of the start of the rental period require full payment at the time of booking. Payment can be made by bank transfer to: Bank: Credit Agricole Nord Midi-Pyrénées LAUZERTE Cancellation policy: 6. Cancellation by Client: this should be made in writing to the Owners. 7. Cancellation charges: from the date of receipt of the Client's cancellation letter: More than 90 days before arrival date: 25% of total cost 8. Cancellation by the Owners: if for any reason the Owners are obliged to cancel the Client's booking, all monies paid to date will be refunded in full. This is the limit of the Owners' liability. Security deposit: 9. A security deposit of €200 payable on arrival by cash or cheque is required in case of damage to the property or its contents. The Owners will check the Property before the departure of the Client and refund the deposit or balance due within two weeks. (But in most cases immediately.) Booking Conditions: 10. THE CLIENT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED TO ARRANGE COMPREHENSIVE TRAVEL INSURANCE AND TO HAVE FULL COVER FOR THE PARTY'S PERSONAL BELONGINGS, PUBLIC LIABILITY ETC. SINCE THESE ARE NOT COVERED BY THE OWNERS' INSURANCE. 11. The rental period shall commence from 1600hrs (4pm) on the first Saturday and finish at 10.00hrs (10am) on the last Saturday. The Owners shall not be obliged to offer the accommodation before the time stated and the Client shall not be entitled to remain in occupation after the time stated. 12. The maximum number to reside in the "Property" must not exceed 4 unless the Owners have given prior written permission. 13. The Client agrees to be a considerate tenant and to take good care of the "Property" and to leave it at the end of the rental period in the clean and tidy condition as they found it. 14. Cleaning equipment is provided. Unless the "end of stay cleaning" charge has been paid, the Client is responsible for leaving the house and its contents clean and tidy. This includes washing up, cleaning oven, microwave, barbecue, basin, shower, WC, floors, folding bedding, returning all furniture to its original position. If, in the opinion of the Owners, the house has not been satisfactorily cleaned, the Owners reserve the right to make a deduction from the security deposit to cover additional cleaning costs. 15. Any chargeable expenses arising during the rental period (e.g. baby sitting, heating) should be settled locally with the Owners before departure. 16. The Client shall report to the Owners without delay any defects in the "Property" or breakdown in the equipment, plant, machinery or appliances in the "Property" or garden and arrangements for repair and/or replacement will be made as soon as possible. 17. The Owners shall not be liable to the Client for any temporary defect or stoppage in the supply of public services to the "Property", nor in respect of any equipment, plant, machinery or appliance in the "Property" or garden nor for any loss, damage or injury which is the result of adverse weather conditions, riot, war, strikes or other matters beyond the control of the Owners. 18. The Owners shall not be liable to the Client for any loss, damage or inconvenience caused to or suffered by the Client if the "Property" shall be destroyed or substantially damaged before the start of the rental period. In any such event the Owners shall, within seven days of notification to the Client, refund to the Client all sums previously paid in respect of the rental period. Under no circumstances shall the Owners' liability to the Client exceed the amount paid to the Owners for the rental period. 19. Well behaved pets are allowed with prior consent of the Owners. Please ask us. 20. SMOKING - is strictly forbidden inside the gîte 21. Insurance: By booking a holiday at the "Property" you are confirming that you will start your journey with suitable holiday insurance covering medical care. 22. This contract shall be governed by French law in every way including interpretation and shall be deemed to have been made in France. Any proceedings arising out of or in connection with this contract may be brought in any court of competent jurisdiction in France. |
