Our "Bonnettie gîte " sleeps 1 to 4 people in two bedrooms. It is set in a tranquil private estate of over 60 acres (24Ha) of woodland and pasture deep in the beautiful and unspoilt countryside of the Lot. Within easy driving distance of Montcuq 10kms, Lauzerte 12kms, Montaigu de Quercy 10kms. The administrative centre, Cahors, is about 30kms. Toulouse and Bergerac airports are about 1.5 hours drive whilst Carcassonne airport is about 2.5hrs away.

The accommodation includes, 2 bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin ), spacious open plan living/dining room, fully equipped kitchen area, shower room with W.C. covered terrace, BBQ, garden area with furnitire and car parking. A Jotul wood fired stove provides ample heating even in the coldest of winters. The cottage is well insulated against both the heat and the cold, and features a timbered high pitch ceiling with exposed main beams. Bonnettie gîte is available all year round and we are happy to discuss longer term bookings. A wireless Internet connection can be made available by prior arrangement. Most mobile phones work in or around the gite.

The gîte is a recent conversion of an old outbuiding on the estate.

For most of the year we can offer our guests UNLIMITED GOLF for 2 players + club facilities for up to 4 at our local golf club. The club is a 25 minute drive away, down peaceful country lanes and is set in beautiful undulating countryside. A challenging 9 hole par 35 (slope 133) the club includes a driving range, practice pitching and putting green, a tennis court, a large swimming pool and a delightful cosy club house with Pro shop, hire of buggie and other golf equipment + golf coaching. There is a bar and restaurant area which serves food or snacks all day long. Please enquire about this prior to booking.

 

To enjoy our gite you must enjoy 'peace and quiet', dogs ( we have 3 friendly ones) chickens, and wildlife in general. It is not unusual here to see deer, wild boar, foxes, hare, and many varieties of birds and birds of prey - not to mention the flora. Please note that for the comfort of all who come here, smoking is not allowed inside the gite.

The cottage is comfortably furnished with a mixture of antique and modern furniture and everything you need to enjoy your stay.

The English owners, who live in the main house , are here to help make your stay as perfect as possible and unobtrusively maintain and care for the gardens, and to offer information and assistance to ensure that you have a wonderful holiday in this delightful secluded spot. Your privacy will of course be respected at all times and you will have the 'run' of virtually all the property.
